EEYOU ISTCHEE ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS |

OUJÉ-BOUGOUMOU, March 17, 2011 - The Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association (CNACA) is proud to announce that the CNACA - Eeyou Istchee Achievement Awards will take place on March 31, 2011 in Nemaska. The event will be FREE and the doors will open at 7 p.m. This event, CNACA - Eeyou Istchee Achievement Awards, will honour Cree talent from Eeyou Istchee in the Music Industry Category. A Lifetime Achievement award in music will also be handed out. Who will it be? You will have to attend to find out. This two-hour showcase will feature performances by previous winners of the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards. The Cree Musicians are: Melisa Pash 2007 Music Industry Award (Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards) Kenny Mianscum 2009 Keepers of Tradition (Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards)

A special invitation was given to the group Chisasibi Rockers! And yes....they will be there to entertain us. Local talent from Nemaska will also be preforming at the event. The Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association is very proud of the partnership created and sponsorships from the Cree Regional Authority and Cree Nation Youth Council.
