Results of the Elections of the Board of Directors of CNACA - September 2009

OUJÉ-BOUGOUMOU, September 1, 2009 – The Cree Native Arts & Crafts Association (CNACA) announces today the results of the Elections of the Board of Directors of CNACA. The Election was held during the Annual General Assembly in Waswanipi on August 26, 2009. The members present at the meeting nominated and voted one member from each of the Cree communities.

Here is the newly elected Board of Directors of CNACA :

We wanted to thank the former leadership for their dedication and contribution they have made to CNACA and its members.   We appreciated your efforts and hard work and we wish you the very best in your future endeavour.

The Election for the President, Vice-President and Treasurer of CNACA will be done by the new Board of Directors at their first meeting.  The dates of this meeting will be announced in the near future.

On behalf of the members and staff of CNACA, we wanted to thank all members that accepted their nomination.  Your interest and motivation is the backbone of the advancement of CNACA.  We would also like to thank the members who took the time to vote, your voices was heard.
CNACA would also like to thank John Jolly, from Waswanipi, who accepted to be the Returning Officer.
