CNACA to redesign and launch new site |
|
CNACA is pleased to annouce that we are now working on a brand new site. CNACA’s website will be the premier location for visitors to access complete and up-to-date information about Cree arts and crafts, including music, film, multimedia, sculpture, traditional and fine arts, performance arts, literature, etc. The site will include, among other features, profiles of local artists, the history and tradition of Cree arts, historical information of the Cree Nation, and an educational zone.
The site will also comprise a members only component that will be a valuable resource for CNACA members that will provide in-depth information about funding opportunities, forms, marketing opportunities, and more. Overall the public site will: 1) promote an understanding of Cree arts, 2) inspire pride in the history, tradition and contemporary Cree Arts for Canadians and the world, 3) promote Cree Arts in a tourism context, 4) promote intergenerational knowledge transfer, and 5) encourage Cree youth to participate in the development of Cree arts.
The members only component will: 1) build a support network among Cree artists and artisans, 2) provide up-to-date arts related funding opportunities (including relevant available forms), and 3) gather statistical information (measurable variables) though polls, surveys and other participatory tools.
We expect the website will fulfill the needs of the general public in providing basic information about Cree arts and crafts; ensure exposure and visibility of Cree artists and artisans; support intergenerational knowledge transfer; provide access and resources for educational institutions; and meet transparency requirements of governmental support (annual reports, studies, etc) . |
